Ghana Assistant Coach Didi Dramani Cites Consistency Over Local players’ Snub From Black Stars Squad For Angola Clash

Black Stars assistant coach Didi Dramani has given an explanation as to why local players did not make the squad to face Angola in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.

New head coach, Chris Hughton announced a twenty-five-man team to face Angola in which he named a core of the players who featured for the country in Qatar 2022 World Cup but did not name any from the local league.

Didi Dramani has said the reason behind the decision is the inconsistencies of the local players.

He said he thinks it goes with the consistency and closeness of games and it is very important not to overstate that he (Chris Hughton) releases his squad and then no local player is in there.

In an interview on Citi Sports, the coach insists that when we start doing that then he thinks we are pre-emptying on the negativities and he thinks that we are paying much attention to the local league as he can be seen coming out to watch a lot of the games.
