Ghanaians Should Forget About The 2022 FIFA World Cup – Kwesi Pratt

Veteran Ghanaian journalist Kwesi Pratt says fans must lower their expectations of qualifying for the 2022  World Cup to be staged in Qatar.

The Black Stars are hoping to qualify for the Mundial next year after missing out on the 2018 World Cup in Russia

However, the four-time AFCON champions started the qualifiers with an uninspiring performance against Ethiopia and South Africa in their two opening games.

Ghana beat Ethiopia 1-0 in the first game at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium before losing by the same margin to South Africa at the FnB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The Managing Director of the Insight newspaper also voiced out the poor performance of the team saying the team has dropped juxtaposing it with the AFCON winning squad in the 1960’s.

Speaking in an interview on Peace FM Kokrokro Morning show he believes that the current squad only focus on money.

“The Black Stars team was very good: I remember the 1960’s but i dont know what happened.

I couldn’t watch the match but i think if we forget the 2022 World Cup dream for now, it will help us.
