Ghana’s Black Galaxies Set To Clash With Cameroon or Niger In Quarter-finals

The Black Galaxies of Ghana have cemented their spot in the quarter-finals of the 2022 CAF Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament.

Ghana has to wait till the end of matches in Group E to confirm who their quarter-final opponents will be, ahead of the next phase of the competition.

The BlacK Galaxies are certain to face the winner of Group E, which spot is being contested for by Cameroun and Niger because it placed second in its group.

Group E will be decided on Tuesday, 24 January, after Niger plays Cameroun. Cameroun will require a draw to top the group and Niger will need to win to take the top spot.

A win for Niger will mean they will face Ghana who placed second in their group.

Ghana finished second with six points after losing its opening game to group winners and tournament debutant Madagascar.

The Black Galaxies will play their quarter-final game on Saturday, 4 February.
