South African football fans have thrown their support behind Ghanaian legend Asamoah Gyan for claiming that the penalty handed to by the Black Stars in the win over Bafana Bfana is a soft one.
According to Ghana’s most prolific scorer, the defender Daniel Amartey fell to the ground too easily for the referee Ndiaye Maguette to point to the spot to award a penalty.
In a post on Social Media, Bafana Bafana fans have described Gyan as an honest man and others insisting that a South African permanent residence should be giving to the former Black Stars captain.
The comments on a post made by South Africa’s largest sports website Soccer Laduma saw Gyan excessively applauded by fans.
Check out their reactions below;
One fan wrote; “Gyan is a good man. A man who knows that at the heart of South Africa’s protest is a quest for fair play…it’s not about Ghana…it’s about fairness”
