Ghana football legend Ntow Gyan is in support of the notion that Chris Hughton should be handed the Black Stars coaching job.
Ghana’s senior men’s national team is without a substantive head coach after Otto Addo left the role in December last year after the nation’s early exit from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Ghana Football Association has since opened applications for the vacant Black Stars coaching role ahead of qualifiers for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations in March.
Ntow Gyan who holds a CAF license A, in spite of the failure of the Black Stars in Qatar, is rooting for the appointment of Chris Hughton, a technical advisor for the Black Stars, to be given the coaching job.
He is of the view that Chris Hughton and the technical team are the best at the moment and so he should be given the job to manage the players who he is already familiar with.
Chris Hughton served as the technical advisor of the Black Stars during the World Cup playoff doubleheader against West Africa rivals Nigeria and the tournament proper in Qatar.
