Hearts of Oak Supporters Chief Elvis Herman Opens Up On Slavko Matic’s Proposed Application For Black Stars Job

Elvis Herman Hesse, the chief of the Hearts of Oak supporters union, has added his voice to the move by the club’s coach Slavko Matic to apply for the vacant Black Stars head coach job.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been in search of a new head coach for the men’s national football team since December last year after Otto Addo resigned.

This week has seen reports that Hearts of Oak coach Slavko Matic has tendered in his application for the Black Stars coaching job.

Herman Hesse confirmed that the coach has applied for the job and is of the view that the management and board will make a decision and if it turns out that the coach informed the authorities at the club there will be a communique to clarify the situation. He added that the management should be proactive in releasing a communique to calm the tensions that are brewing.

He stated that the club has a crucial game against Medeama coming up and it is not the appropriate time to have confusion around the team. He stressed that fans should keep calm till a communique is issued by the management.

Accra Hearts of Oak travel to Tarkwa for their matchday 14 clash against Medeama on Saturday.
