Government Begins Cutting Youths Dreadlocks, Says It’s A Nuisance

The local administration in Kogi State in Nigeria has started cutting off the hair of young people and claims that it is a problem for society.

The Okene local government administrator was captured in an image cutting the locks of a teenager who was compelled to give in to the decision.

The reports suggest that the young man was asked by the officials of the government to trim his hair, as he went for scissors to trim the hair that was dreadlocked.

According to some sources, the act of cutting off the hair of young people is a decision by the local authorities to remove these hairstyles from the youngsters in the region.

The incident has triggered a few Nigerians to react furiously, but the person whose locks were cut off is believed to have been coerced by the police, before they took the decision.
