Hearts FA Cup Loss To Dreams FC Down To “Hard luck”-Slavko Matic

Slavko Matic, head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has said that his team’s loss in the MTN FA Cup to Dreams FC was down to “Hard luck”.

He made this assertion in the post-match interview after his side lost 0-1 to Dreams FC to exit the competition at the Round of 32.

Hearts of Oak were awarded two penalties in the dying minutes of the match but they missed both penalties, defender Samuel Inkoom missed the retake after his initial attempt which was saved got called back for an infringement.

Slavko Matic was adamant that his side created a lot of chances, free kicks, and crosses and deserved the penalty they were awarded but attributed the team’s loss to hard luck on the day. He added that his squad deserved the chances but didn’t take them.

Matic also said his first-choice penalty taker Salifu Ibrahim was substituted earlier in the game and was not available when the team was awarded the penalty.
