Sarkodie’s Verse on Bob Marley’s “Stir It Up” Song Is Below Standard – Ruthy

Controversial Ghanaian entertainment critic Ruthy has lambasted ace rapper, Sarkodie for not living up to her expectation.

This comes after the release of the remake of Bob Marley & The Wailer’s ‘Stir it up’ which saw the Ghanaian rapper doing what he knows best.

According to Ruthy, Sarkodie could have done far better than what he did. She explained that Sarkodie’s verse on his hit song, ‘Love Rocks’ featuring Samini is far better than what he sang on Bob Marley’s record.

Sarkodie revealed earlier on that he was hesitant to jump on Bob Marley’s song as he saw himself unworthy of the opportunity. However, he added that once he listened to the song, he felt the presence of the late reggae icon.

“When I had the email, I almost passed it on, and not just out of respect, I felt that I was not worthy to lay my vocals next to the legend. I was really hard on myself,” the rapper said.
