I Am Impressed With The Organization of CHAN Tournament – Deputy Sports Minister Evans Bobbie

Deputy Sports Minister Evans Bobbie has expressed his delight at the level of organization of the CHAN 2022 ongoing in Algeria.

The tournament was initially slated to be held from 10 July to 1 August but had to be moved to January 2023 due to the advent of the deadly Coronavirus and also because the FIFA Men’s World Cup in Qatar was scheduled for November and December 2022.

The African Nations Champions (CHAN) 2022 is being held in four cities in Algeria, they are Algiers, Annaba, Constantine, and Oran.

Ghana was placed in Group C and had to play all of their group games in Constantine, they are however scheduled to move to Oran where they will face Niger in the quarterfinals of the competition.

Ghana’s deputy sports minister said Ghana’s team and delegation at the tournament are very impressed by the level of organization exhibited by the host nation. He described as excellent what he has witnessed thus far in the competition.

He also stated that it is the team’s focus to go all the way to finals and hopefully win the trophy for the first time.
