Swansea City winger Jamal Akua Lowe has said he is ready to fill the void left by Ghana international forward Andre Ayew at the club in the coming season.
Ayew, 31, parted ways with Swans right after the 2020/2021 Championship campaign.
The 26-year-old Jamaican international claims he has learned a lot from the Ghana captain and that will keep him going.
“Naturally, I think I will have more demands and pressure on me to step up, in particular with Andre Ayew having left. That’s an area in which we will all have to come together to fill the void.” Lowe told his club’s website
“I’ve probably learned more from Andre than anyone else in my career. The way he worked, his finishing quality, preserving his energy, his professionalism on and off the pitch – I can take bits from him in that respect.”
“I’m looking forward to the extra pressure – that’s when you get the best moments.” He added.
Swansea made it to the final playoff for EPL qualification but lost 2-0 Brentford FC in the final at the Wembley Stadium.
