I Didn’t Show My Tribute To Atsu When I Scored Against Bournemouth Because Arsenal Was Losing – Partey Explains

Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey has come out to throw light on why he did not take off his Arsenal jersey to show his tribute to the late Christian Atsu when he scored against AFC Bournemouth.

On 4 March, which was the same day as the one-week observation of the demise of the late Black Stars winger, Partey scored.

Thomas Partey’s goal in Arsenal’s match against Bournemouth sparked their 3-2 comeback win in the English Premier League.

He told SuperSport in an interview that his inability to show his tribute to Atsu when he scored in the match against Bournemouth was because his team was losing.

He insisted that it was not because he was worried about getting a yellow card.

Partey said he does not believe Atsu is no more, and that the day before I called the kits man to print this for me, begging him to do it for me.

He explained that when he scored he was not going to show it at the point because he know it was not the right time because we are losing 2-1.
