Kelvyn Boy, a Ghanaian Afrobeats singer, has come out to discuss the profitability of the music industry.
Speaking to Joy Prime television, the artist stated that the nature of the music industry has changed drastically to the extent that he is no longer required to perform live shows to make money from his trade.
He revealed that the is has got to do with the mode of consumption of music these days, which is shifting more to streaming.
Kelvyn Boy said even when he sleeps, he makes money and that is how it is supposed to be. He stressed that he does not have to be in their faces before they know I am getting there.
He added that he is beginning to move in the right direction and if that is done, one does not need 10 shows to be okay. One does not need to come here all the time, otherwise, it won’t make sense to the people.
Kelvyn Boy urged his colleague artists to position themselves so that they can generate revenue even when they are not actively involved in the music scene.
