Famed Nigerian actress Mercy Johnson Okojie has revealed his struggle with cancer and its consequent surgery to fight it.
She made the revelation on her cooking show, “Mercy Menu”, with legendary actress Joke Silva as her guest.
Johnson’s disclosure came in the wake of Joke Silva opening up on how she is handling her husband, Olu Jacob’s, age-related health conditions.
She stated that she and her husband had had to sit up and face their new reality and its added consequences head-on.
Mercy Johnson, says that her last child was only six months old at the time when her condition was diagnosed and that she found out during surgery that she had to live on medication for the rest of her life.
She went on to add that she had a scare with cancer and had to have her thyroid removed. She said that the journey was a difficult one for her and her family.
