‘Papa Ajasco’: Original Actor Abiodun Ayoyinka Clarifies Death Mixup

Actor Abiodun Ayoyinka who originally played Papa Ajasco has come out to clarify the mix-up concerning the death of a co-Papa Ajasco cast member, Femi Ogunrombi.

Femi Ogunrombi died in the late hours of 14 January; his death has brewed confusion with many fans thinking it is Ayoyinka whom he had replaced on the comedy show.

Fans who were not in the know that the late Ogunrombi had briefly replaced the original Papa Ajasco actor, Ayoyinka, have posted the latter’s photos on social media in regard to the passing of Ogunrombi.

In reaction to the mix-up, Ayoyinka released a video in which he made some clarifications.

Abiodun Ayoyinka in the video introduced himself as Papa Ajasco and said that he is still alive and not dead. He was very appreciative of the concerns of his many fans all across the globe.

Ayoyinka first played the role of Papa Ajasco from 1996 to 2005, and then had a second stint from 2007 till the present.
