Kumawood actress Matilda Asare has reacted to the economic challenges that are affecting the country, stating her regrets over voting the ruling government into power.
In a post chanced by Kingaziz.com on Facebook, the comic actress said she has regretted over voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In the run-up to the 2016 general election, Matilda Asare, Agya Koo, and other Kumawood stars threw their support behind the Akufo Addo-led political party, which gained the presidency and was able to keep it until 2020.
However, things aren’t being conducted as they had hoped and have led some to speak out against some things happening within the country by the NPP government.
A social media post that spoke of the economic difficulties the current administration has caused to ordinary Ghanaian included Matilda Asare sharing her honest opinion.
“I regretted voting for the NPP,” she wrote.
