Former England and Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has made revelations to the effect that he had wished his former club signed the Gunners’ midfield maestro Thomas Partey from Athletico Madrid.
The Black Stars vice-captain moved to Arsenal in 2020 for a then club-record fee of 50 million Euros.
The Manchester United legend says that Partey is top quality who he rates highly.
He recalled earlier times on his show when he had publicly stated his admiration for the Arsenal star and had wanted him with the Red Devils.
Ferdinand said on Vibe with FIVE podcasts that he rates Partey and he has done clips on which he said Manchester United should buy him before he went to Arsenal.
Thomas Partey has been in impeccable for the Gunners this season, where he has played 22 matches and scored three goals.
He has been called to the Ghana national team ahead of the team’s AFCON 2023 games against Angola.
