Jimmy Carr has utilized another touchy subject for comedic material, bringing up 9/11 and Osama Bin Laden. This comes months after Jimmy Carr received criticism for making a joke about the Holocaust.
The comedian faced harsh criticism earlier this year after the publication of his Netflix show His Dark Material, in which he called the Nazis’ murder of thousands of Roma and Sinti people a “positive.”
Carr, 49, has once more shocked and infuriated people with his choice of content, which was featured in the newly published The Best Of Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival, despite the barrage of criticism.
The 8 Out of 10 Cats host opened the brief clip, which was recorded during the Netflix Is A Joke Comedy Festival a few months ago, by saying that when he passes away, he wants One Direction to perform a BTS covers medley at his funeral “because that way, I’ll be glad I’m dead.”
“Now you might think this is silly, but I assure you, it’s absolutely true. When Zayn left One Direction, for me, it was like 9/11. Yep. I didn’t care about that either”
“There’s a real generational divide there, I can see. Some people are looking at me like, ‘9/11, steady on.’ And other people are looking at me like, ‘One Direction – don’t take their name in vain!”
