Jojo Wollacot To Return To Ghana Starting Line-up Against Angola In Luanda

Injured Black Stars goalkeeper Jojo Wollacot is expected to return to the Black Stars’ starting line-up against Angola in Luanda on Monday,27 March.

Wollacot made returned to the senior men’s football team after he had missed the Qatar 2022 World Cup through injury.
He was Ghana’s number goalkeeper before he sustained an injury to his thumb in November last year.

On Thursday when Ghana face Angola in the first leg of the AFCON qualifiers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Wollacott did not feature for his side because he was involved in a freak accident during training when a dummy goalpost fell on him.

He is however set to be between the sticks when the Black Stars play on Monday.

Some media outlets report that Chris Hughton will ring changes to the squad that played against the Palancas Negras in Kumasi, with Wollacot expected to be in the post.

The Black Stars narrowly beat the Palancas Negras in Kumasi through a late goal by substitute striker Antoine Semenyo.
Ghana leads Group E with seven points with Angola in second place with four points.
