Crystal Palace manager, Patrick Vieira, has praised the efforts by Ghana forward Jordan Ayew in the defeat to Manchester United, despite missing a fantastic opportunity during the game.
Jordan joined Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke in Vieira’s attacking trio against Manchester United, but could not break his goal drought when Palace lost 1-0 against Man U.
“I believe that our front three could’ve held the ball better. I think we didn’t keep the ball well enough upfront. And I think talking about Jordan, of course he had the big chance of the game, and he didn’t take it. But on the side, I think he was fantastic for us today. His work ethic. I think he was the best player upfront,” Vieira told the press after the game.
Ayew was substituted in the 84th minute by Michael Olise, as the Eagles lost their third game in a row.
