Ghanaian beatmaker and singer, Boy Octave has debunked claims that he is aspiring to become Kuami Eugene and therefore imitating him.
The beatmaker who recently released his first single revealed that it is an insult for anyone to compare him to Kuami Eugene as the latter is not on the same level as him.
“How can you compare Kuami Eugene to me? I’m not imitating Kuami Eugene. I don’t sound anything like him/ I am a one-of-a-kind musician. Kuame Eugene was in school when I first discovered my talent for music. Kuame Eugene is not on the same level as me.”
He further explained that Kuami Eugene was still a kid when he found his way around in the studio and started making beats for big artists in the industry.
“I’m a beatmaker and I know he’s a beatmaker as well, but the beats I play are far superior to his. I’ve been working with musicians for many years… Kuami Eugene was in school when I discovered I could start singling in front of people”
However, you would agree with me that Kuami Eugene since his first hit song after the Hitmaker show has taken over the Ghanaian music space.
