Macy Gray Blasted After Making ‘Transphobic’ Body Parts Comment On Piers Morgan Show
After making ‘transphobic’ remarks on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Macy Gray has come under fire, with some fans claiming they are so “disappointed” in the musician.
The I Try singer appeared on the TalkTV program on Monday night, where the talk shifted to discussions regarding the transgender population in the media.
Talking about what makes someone a woman, Macy Gray said that the fact that someone gets a surgery to change their gender does not make them a woman. She added that despite her view, she had no problem addressing someone as a woman if that is what they want.
“I totally agree. And I will say this and everyone’s gonna hate me but as a woman, just because you go change your [body] parts, doesn’t make you a woman, sorry. I know that for a fact. Like if you want me to call you a her, I will, ‘cause that’s what you want, but that doesn’t make you a woman just ‘cause I call you a her and just because you got a surgery.”
Responding to her comment on the topic, some fans revealed their disappointment in the singer for being transphobic.
