Milovan Rajevac Makes No Major Changes In Ghana Squad For Zimbabwe World Cup Qualifier

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac made no major changes in his first squad following return to Black Stars top job.

Rajevac whose reappointment was confirmed on Friday named 32-man provisional squad for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying doubleheadder agaisnt Zimbabwe.

And the list is dominated by regular faces such as Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso, Mohammed Kudus and Baba Rahman.

The only notable absentee in the squad is goalkeeper Richard Ofori, who is out due to a thigh injury.

However, he has handed debuts to goalkeeper Jojo Wallocott and Turkey-based striker Benjamin Tetteh who has scored three goals in six games this season.

Rajevac’s squad are expected to start training early next week for the games, which are must wins for the Black Stars.

The Black Stars will take on the Warriors on Saturday, October 9 at the Cape Coast stadium on match day three of the qualifiers before traveling to Harare three days later for the reverse fixture.

Ghana are currently second in Group G, a point behind leaders South Africa in the race for top spot.
