Mohammed Kudus To Be Available For Ghana’s 2022 World Cup Qualifiers

Ajax star Mohammed Kudus is set to make the Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa in September, GHANAsoccernet.com has gathered.

The 21-year-old  suffered an ankle injury in a pre-season friendly against Anderlecht and still recovering his fitness.

Kudus was ruled out of Ajax’s 4-0 heavy defeat to PSV in the Johann Cryuff Shield Cup last Saturday due to the injury.

The Ghanaian International has resumed light training and is in good shape.

He is likely to miss Ajax season opener against NEC Breda in the Eredivisie on Saturday.

However, Ghana coach CK Akonnor would expect the talented midfielder would recover his full fitness ahead of the double-header next month.

Kudus has been one of Ghana’s key players during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

He scored that decisive goal against South Africa in Johannesburg that qualified the Black Stars to the AFCON next year.
