Gospel artist Moses OK, known privately as Moses Osei Kwarteng, has disclosed that once upon a time, his genre of music was not lucrative in the country, citing a case in point where he was paid Ghc50 for a performance in Tema.
He spoke in an interview on Adom FM where he revealed the challenges he faced as a budding gospel artist which he said included being underpaid.
He said those times someone can invite you to a program and give you ¢50 for transportation.
He recalled doing a show in Tema where the person who invited him is from Kumasi. He said he came on the STC bus.
Moses OK went on to say, after the program, the man gave him GH¢50 which and him sick in the car because of the way he was ministering.
Even the money enthusiast threw at him during his performance was all taken away by the organizers leaving him with almost nothing to show for it.
He advised young gospel artists to remain focused and committed to their calling no matter the hurdles they face.
