Shatta Wale has discussed his experience in the Ankaful prison in a new song titled “Jailman”.
The multi-award winning Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall musician was detained together with other members of his group for causing fear and panic by committing a ruse to deceive Ghanaians.
Medikal however was also detained a day after Shatta Wale was arrested for displaying an assault weapon through social media.
As every other ex-convict has had the experience of experiences in Ghanaian prison, Shatta Wale, also testifies to the deplorable conditions that exist inside, and describes the prison cells as “HELL” and a place that no person should ever dream of.
He urged the government to provide assistance to the inmates as well as the system of prisons to improve the conditions in which they are.
