Arsenal midfield maestro, Thomas Partey, has said that his impressive performance on the field can be attributed to the influence of his parents’ coaching.
In an interview with SuperSports, Ghana’s vice-captain revealed that he gets constant feedback, both positive and negative from his father and mother; this has helped him develop as a footballer.
He said that his parents’ role in his career cannot be understated, revealing that both of his parents are his coaches.
He disclosed that there are instances during a game when he feels he can just chip the ball, but his mother would be like, ‘Why don’t you just attempt shooting often’.
Thomas Partey revealed that there are times when would choose to pass the ball instead of taking a shot depending on the passage of play just to open the field.
He says he has become a well-rounded footballer because he takes the advice of his parents with all the needed seriousness.
