My Parents Wanted Me To Do Gospel Music – Boohle

Famous Mzansi vocalist and songwriter, Buhlebevangeli Hlengiwe Manyathi, professionally known as Boohle has revealed that her parents intended for her to do gospel music rather than what she is currently doing.

According to the ‘Hamba Wena’ crooner, her parents were not in support of her genre of music. She, however, added that she was able to win their support after she proved herself to them through consistency and hard work.

“My parents always wanted me to do gospel, that could have been ideal for all of them, church, parents  … I made them look at it as music, as a craft; that this is what I like doing. So work hard enough to make them proud.”

She reiterated that it all takes hard work and a will to push for one to convince others to believe in their aream.

“Just work hard and you are responsible for making them understand and believe in your dream. Work hard enough so they do believe and understand.”
