Ghanaian actress Akuapem Poloo was on Friday 16th April 2020 sentenced to 90 days in prison for uploading an unclad photo she took with her son on social media.
Despite pleas from a cross section of Ghanaians to the judge not to jail Akuapem Poloo she ended up getting jailed apparently the pleas and apologies could change the verdict of the judge.

Reports coming through has it that some celebrities in Ghana were solidly behind Akuapem Poloo’s arrest and even ensured she gets punished.
According to sources Mr. Bright Appiah of Child’s Right International has come out to say that some bitter celebrities were behind the actress’ arrest yet they are pressuring government to release the lady.
He added that he is coming out with the names and Instagram handles of all those celebrities.
