New Naira Notes: Election Riggers Pushing CBN For Extension — Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has prevailed upon the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to not heed calls by certain elements for it to postpone the old naira regime deadline after February 10.

Atiku’s campaign council made this disclosure in a statement issued on Wednesday.

The statement said the people calling for the extension of the deadline after the 25 February and 11 March general elections are vote riggers who believe they might have achieved their aims after the extension is done.

Atiku who is a former second in command has called upon the central bank to execute the measures it has set out to facilitate the circulation of the new naira notes and relieve Nigerians, especially rural dwellers of the challenges they are facing.

The statement was emphatic that there should be no further postponement of the new naira regime after the expiration of the 10 February deadline.
