Nigerians React After Ghanaian Actress Akuapem Poloo Was Jailed For Sharing Nude Photo Online

Akuapem Poloo’s jail term has attracted a flurry of reactions from social media users and celebs from Nigeria as well, akin to the same way they shared their opinion when she first broke the internet with her nude photo.

An Accra Circuit Court earlier today sentenced the controversial actress to 90 days in prison over a birthday shoot photo shared on social media last year. The actress was convicted on her own plea last Wednesday and remanded in police custody for her hearing which happened this morning.

She was charged with the publication of nude pictures with her seven-year-old son. She changed her not guilty plea to guilty before being convicted. The judge who hurled Poloo behind bars opined that her judgment is premised on the high spate of nudity and insanity on the Ghanaian social media space.
