Nigeria’s Tems Wins Her First Grammy Award

Celebrated Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known by her stage name, Tems has received her first Grammy award.

The sensational singer was honored for her part in Future’s 2022 hit song dubbed ‘Wait for U’ featuring Drake as the “Best Melodic Rap Performance” category at the 2023 Grammys on Sunday night.

Tems received three nominations for this year’s Grammy Awards and took home the prize for “Best Melodic Rap Performance” for her vocals after receiving a total of four nominations since her debut.

She recently declared herself as a GOAT after American rapper Snoop Dogg requested a musical collaboration after listening to her song with Wizkid.

Declaring herself as a GOAT, Tems explained that it will take a GOAT to recognize the work of another goat.

“How you know you tha is when you attract the all the ’s. It don’t take too long for a GOAT to recognize another GOAT. But the sheep, they always blind af,” she tweeted.
