The quarter-final stage of the 2022 Confederations of African Football’s (CAF) Championship of African Nations (CHAN) will begin in earnest today Friday,27 January,
CAF has released a list of the best-performing players from the group stage of the tournament ahead of the quarterfinal games.
It is however noticeable that no player of the Black Galaxies team was named in the best eleven of the group stage.
Algeria, the host nation has the most number of players (3) in the eleven-man list put together by CAF’s technical team from the group stage.
Angola and Senegal come in second after Algeria as the most players on the list with two players each from the group stage.
Host nation Algeria will come up against the Ivory Coast at 4 pm in the first quarterfinals match of the 2022 CHAN tournament.
Senegal will also play against Mauritania in the second game of the day at 7 pm.
The Black Stars of Ghana will face Niger on Saturday,28 January.
