Pixar Animator Ralph Eggleston Passes Away At 56 Years Of Age After A Long Battle With Pancreatic Cancer

Award-winning American animator, art director and storyboard artist, Ralph Eggleston has passed away at the age of 56 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

According to a report by Variety, Eggleston gave up the fight after a protracted struggle with pancreatic cancer.

On Twitter, Jorge R. Gutierrez, the director of The Book of Life, and Pixar both posted heartfelt tributes to Eggleston.

“In memory of Ralph Eggleston—animator, director, art director, storyboard artist, writer, production designer, and our dear friend. Pixar and the world will be forever grateful,” Pixar tweeted with the image of the veteran.

Before many knew he was sick he was trying to donate his spectacular art book collection to a Mexican animation school. That’s Ralph,” Jorge R. Gutierrez added.
