Born on 3 January 1948, Randall Claude Weaver (Randy Weaver) was a separatist and white supremacist known for his role in the Ruby Ridge standoff in Idaho in 1992.
Weaver and family together with his friend Kevin Harris engaged in a shootout with FBI agents and U.S. Marshals. Samuel, Weaver’s son who then 14 years old, was killed when he was shot in the back by a sniper.
Randy himself was shot in the back during the standoff.
The Weaver family received compensation to the tune of about $3,100,000.00 for the involvement of federal agents in the killing of his wife and young son, Samuel.
Randy Weaver joined the United States Army in October 1968.
