Born on October 24, 1997, in Tooting, London, Rachel Agatha Keen, known professionally as Raye, is a British singer, songwriter and record producer.
Raye’s debut studio album, “My 21st Century Blues” (2023), achieved significant commercial success and garnered widespread critical acclaim. It earned her the Album of the Year award at the 2024 BRIT Awards, where she also secured five additional awards, setting new records for the most wins and nominations in a single year.
Before establishing herself as a solo artist, Raye made her mark in the music industry through her songwriting and production contributions to various artists, including Beyoncé, Little Mix, Rihanna, David Guetta, John Legend, and Ellie Goulding.
Her breakthrough came with guest appearances on the highly successful singles “By Your Side” by Jonas Blue and “You Don’t Know Me” by Jax Jones in 2016. Subsequently, she collaborated on the hit singles “Secrets” (featuring Regard) and “Bed” (with David Guetta and Joel Corry) in 2020 and 2021, further cementing her presence in the music scene.
Raye gained significant media attention in 2021 following her departure from Polydor Records, reportedly due to the label’s refusal to release her debut album.
