The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye has asked former President John Mahama’s wife, Lordina Mahama to refund all allowances she received from the state since 2009 till date.
Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ show he insisted that Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Samira Bawumia are not the only people who benefited from the Prof. Yaa Ntiamoa-Baidu Committee’s emolument recommendation as Lordina Mahama equally benefited.
He argues that since Rebecca Akufo-Addo upon sober reflection on the allowances has decided to refund all allowances paid her since 2017 Lordina Mahama is also expected t do same.
”Her refusal to do so will lead to a massive demonstration by the Ghanaian youth”, he noted.
Lordina Mahama is expected to pay an amount of GHS3.2 million o the state.
It appears Nana Boakye isn’t the only person calling on the former First Lady to refund the monies but the General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu has also asked Mrs. Lordina Mahama to refund the monies.
