Samini Explains Why He Changed His Brand Name From ‘Batman’

Emmanuel Andrew Sammini, well known as Samini has finally shared his thoughts about the motivation for his decision to change his name from  Batman to  Samini.

Formerly known as Batman revealed in an interview on the UTV’s United Showbiz with Empress Nana Ama Mcbrown that at some moment in his career, he realized the need to present himself with a name that could be recognized on the lips of his followers and other music enthusiasts.

The legendary Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artist disclosed that he recorded an entire track under the name of ‘Samini’ to help Ghanaians and his fans to adapt his brand-new name and to get rid of his former name, Batman.

To remind you, Samini happens to be one of the top performers of Ghanaian dancehall. His style of music is a harmonious blend of highlife, reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop. He refers to his particular style of music as “African dancehall”.

He signed his first recording contract in the company of Ashanti International. Samini began his record label, High Grade Family, after his departure from the previously mentioned label.
