Scores of Ghanaian football fans have trooped to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi in an excited mood as they went to watch the Black Stars’ first training session ahead of their crunch match against Angola on Thursday.
The entire training session was supervised by the new Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton.
The team arrived in Kumasi on Monday afternoon and went to the Baba Yara stadium to conduct their first training.
Ghana is scheduled to play Angola in the first leg of the doubleheader at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday at 4 pm local time and will travel to Luanda to play their opponents on 27 March.
The Black Stars are currently joint-group-leaders after having secured a 3-0 win over Madagascar and drawing one all with the Central African Republic. In order for Ghana to emerge, as a group leader, it will have to defeat Angola which also has four points as a joint-group leader.
The Ghanaian fans who had gathered to watch the training were ecstatic to see their beloved team in action.
