Empress Gifty Osei has spoken in to defend herself against her habit of dressing as a slay queen, despite her status as a gospel singer.
As per her opinion, there’s no place in the Bible which says that you need to appear dirty in order to be a faithful servant of God.
While that could be the case, however, there’s nothing in the text of the Bible that says you need to look like a mixture with Efia Odo or Moesha Boduong in order to serve as a servant to God, neither.
Gifty Adorye has turned into a gospel slay queen, that’s what the majority of them appears to be.
She wears wild clothes, usually tightly hugging her body, or strategically placed to highlight her curves. These are curves she allegedly to have purchased from hospitals.
Ghanaians have often criticised her for her style as a gospel singer, and she has finally spoken out.
In a recent interview, she claimed she’s a representative
of God, therefore, looking nice is a means to show the glory of God.
Then she claimed that the Bible never stated that one must be dirty in order to worship God.
“I have not seen anywhere in the Bible that you have to look dirty before you can worship God; no. I have not seen anywhere,” Empress said.
“It is said that all good things come from above which means they come from God, so if I am representing this God who created me and gave me this gift then I need to do it well, and I don’t see anything wrong with that,” she added.
