A Senior High School student identified as Ebenezer Opoku is currently in Police custody for reportedly stabbing a 23-year-old boy identified as Seidu to death after a misunderstanding.
Per what we gathered, the deceased went to buy sachets of water from a shop closer to his house but lodged a complaint after the seller refused to give him a polythene bag.
After they exchanged a few words, Seidu said that he would return the water should one fall on the ground and burst since the seller has refused to do the needful by giving him a polythene bag.
Ebenezer who happens to be a friend of the seller questioned Seidu as to why he would return what has already been sold to him. Seidu exchanged a few words with him as well and left after the seller finally gave him a polythene bag for the water to be placed inside.
Ebenezer was said to have followed Seidu after the scuffle with a knife in his pocket to confront him. Upon reaching him, he stabbed the victim in the chest which caused him to die at the spot.
The suspect tried to escape but was captured by some of the residents who were present at the scene. They handed him over to the police immediately.
However, the family of the deceased are demanding justice for the demise of their relative. The suspect is currently in police custody assisting the police with investigation and prosecution.
