Black Stars defender Tariq Lamptey is likely to stay put at Brighton and Hove Albion if he fails to land a permanent transfer this winter.
The diminutive defender has been on the shopping list of Portuguese and French sides, Sporting Lisbon and Olympic Lynon who intend on acquiring him on loan.
However, the proposed transfer to either of the clubs has been put on hold due to contractual disagreement.
indications from football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, both Olympic Lyon, and Sporting Lisbon have ended their pursuit of the Ghana defender during this transfer window.
Brighton and Hove Albion are understood to be only interested in holding a discussion for a permanent move for Tariq Lamptey and not a loan move.
Lamptey is expected to remain at the club if there are no changes before the transfer window closes on 31 January.
The defender, however, was in stellar form during his side’s 2-1 elimination of Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup competition; he registered an assist for Lewis Dunk’s equalizer.
