Taro Daniel was born on 27 January 1993 in New York City, New York.
He is a Japanese professional tennis player who was ranked at a career-high world number 64 on 27 August 2018 by the Association of Tennis Professionals.

He won the ATP Tour singles title at 2018 Open and has seven ATP Challenger Tour singles titles.
