Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey says he is willing to play any position that is given to him by coach Milovan Rajevac.
The Arsenal midfielder played in a defensive position during the first half of Ghana’s victory against Zimbabwe at the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Cape Coast sports stadium, but was then released in the second half of the game to join the attacking.
Partey joined the attack after his introduction Mallorca midfielder Baba Iddrisu in the second half.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder, after joining the attack, scored to boost the advantage of Black Stars.
During the post match conference, Partey said;
“Everywhere on the pitch where I can help the national team, I’m ready to sacrifice everything”,
“I don’t mind defending, I don’t mind attacking but every time I have to play in Ghana I’m ready to sacrifice anything and play in any position.”
Ghana will travel to Zimbabwe for the reverse fixture on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
