Lahren attended Central High School and received her diploma in 2010. She was raised in Rapid City, South Dakota. She is of Norwegian and German ancestry. The University of Nevada, Las Vegas awarded Lahren a B.A. in political science and broadcast journalism in 2014.
She co-produced and presented a political discussion program for the university called The Scramble. Lahren worked as the first intern in Kristi Noem’s Rapid City office, a South Dakota Republican congresswoman.

Lahren announced her engagement to her boyfriend, Brandon Fricke, on Instagram in June 2019. In 2020, their engagement was broken up.
Early in 2021, J.P. Arencibia, a fellow Fox commentator and former Major League Baseball catcher, and Lahren were said to be dating. As of August 2021, both Lahren and Arencibia have confirmed the relationship on their Instagram pages.
Lahren acknowledged this while working with Judge Jeanine on an episode of Justice on September 25, 2021.
