The Turkish side, Trabzonspor, is determined to acquire the services of Ghana defender Daniel Amartey, as he nears the end of his Leicester City contract, reports in local media suggest.
Trabzonspor manager, Abdullah has set his sights on Daniel Amartey for a while and is presently determined to bring the Ghana international into his teams during the summer transfer window.
The club’s current position on the league log is undesirable, a situation that was brought about by a below-standard defensive performance thus far in the season.
It is the management’s view that Amartey will help resolve their defensive challenges, as he is a priority target for the Black Sea Storm. The club is willing to offer him an improved contract than he currently has with Leicester City.
Trabzonspor is however in contention with local rivals Besiktas for the signature of Daniel Amartey, a situation which could drive his current evaluation up.
Amartey’s inclusion in the team would boost the defense of the squad and help it better it’s standing in the league.
