The difference was made by Thomas Partey’s first-half free kick when the Black Stars defeated Zimbabwe 1-0 in Harare’s 2022 World Cup Qualifier.
Milovan Rajevac’s team dominated the first half, but couldn’t find a goal until the 31st minutes.
Left-back Baba Rahman was fouled at the box’s edge, and Thomas Partey took the initiative to fire home.
Partey would not have cared one bit if the Zimbabwean goalkeeper conceded that goal.
He scored his 12th goal for Black Stars, and his second free-kick.
Ghana is now two points ahead of South Africa, who will host Ethiopia later today.
Below is Partey’s goal;
