Ghanaian parliamentarians will soon be hailed after they successfully approved a visa free agreement between Ghana and the United Arab Emirates, which means Ghanaian can now travel to that country with just their passport.
This agreement between these two countries was first initiated on the 18th of November 2019, and it cancels the visa requirement for passport holders in Ghana and UAE who can only stay for a period not exceeding 90 days
On the 26th of May 2021,Mrs Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, the Minister for Foreign Affair and Regional integration, presented the MoU in Parliament. After a long deliberation, the agreement was approved by Parliament on the 5th of August 2021.
