Nigeria’s vice president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, while addressing the people of Zamfara state has pledged to make terrorism a thing of the past if elected as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He promised to reposition the state when it comes to security networks, agriculture, and mineral resources if voted into power.
Mr. Abubakar lambasted the leadership of the state’s ruling party, the APC, for not doing enough to salvage the economy and security challenges in the country.
He said that he was surprised that the APC was still on the campaign trail in the country despite its failure to bring Nigeria under one umbrella.
The veteran politician said that should he win the elections slated for 25 February, insecurity will be history in Zamfara State, adding that he is not intent on causing division in the polity.
He stressed that Nigeria is one united body and no one has the right to separate what God has joined together.
