Dr. Tony Aubynn, Chairman of the management committee of the Black Galaxies has made known his team’s determination to make it all the way to the final of the ongoing 2022 African Nations Championship.
The Black Galaxies lost to debutants Madagascar in their opening match of the competition before defeating Sudan in their second group game.
Although the team is unaware of who their quarterfinal opponents in the tournament will be, Dr. Aubynn is adamant the team is focused on claiming the trophy.
He said it is rather disappointing that a footballing nation like Ghana which has played twice in the final of the competition is yet to annex the trophy.
Dr. Aubynn told Graphic Sports that it is unacceptable that Ghana is yet to win the trophy consideration of its pedigree in football. He added that the team means business after its return to the competition since it last did in 2014.
He noted that the team’s comeback in the match against Sudan shows its resolve and determination.
Ghana’s quarterfinal game will be played on Saturday.
